Laundry Driver

I. Job Summary
Clean and maintain all corridors, vending areas, elevators and landings and service areas on guest room floors, ensuring hotel's standards of cleanliness. Provide linen supplies for housekeepers and stock floor closets. Deliver and retrieve items requested by guests and departmental trainers.

II. Job Responsibilities
Attend team briefings.
Greet all guests with a smile and hello.
Anticipate the needs of guests.
Ensure confidentiality of hotel guests.
Follow proper procedures for entry into guest rooms.
Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
Ensure security of any assigned keys and beeper.
Review assignment sheet and update completed assignments.
Check with housekeeping office for additional assignments throughout the shift.
Organize work duty priorities.
Review assigned area and complete linen requisitions on each floor.
Check assigned floor closets and complete linen requisition to replenish linen supplies.
Stock linen carts with clean linens and supplies.
Transport linen carts to appropriate floor closets and neatly stock according to diagram.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of floor closets; remove trash, wipe down shelves/counters; sweep and wax floor; remove non-floor closet items and transport to proper storage areas.
Remove dirty linens and trash.
Divide linens equally ensuring all floors are stocked.
Abide by proper use of elevator to transport linens from floor to floor.
Note linens needed at end of day per floor for restocking purposes.
Ensure that nothing is stored in stairwells or below stairwells.
Transport any room service trays/items in guest hallways to service elevator landings (NEVER guest elevators).
Check under furniture for debris and remove if present.
Inspect condition of all furniture for tears, rips and stains and report to departmental trainer.
Empty trash containers, ashtrays and ash urns in public areas into proper containers including recycling.
Remove trash, debris and cobwebs from balconies/patios.
Use designated chemicals, supplies and equipment using proper JHA's and in compliance with MSDS'.
Provide timely delivery of any items requested by guests and employees.
Retrieve items from guest rooms and return to proper storage areas.
Report any damages or maintenance problems to departmental trainer.
Turn over any lost and found items to office coordinator.
Monitor and handle guest complaints by following guest services training procedures and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Ensure security of guest room access and hotel property.

Perform other duties as assigned.

 



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
